Rock

Rock is the main protagonist of the anime Black Lagoon. He’s a Japanese salaryman who is abducted and taken hostage by a group of mercenaries called the Black Lagoon. At first, Rock is reluctant to get involved in their criminal activities. But after spending some time with them, he comes to respect and appreciate them. He’s a skilled gunman and is very loyal to his friends.

Appearance-wise, Rock is a young Japanese man with black hair and dark eyes. He’s of average height and build. He usually wears a suit and tie, but he also has a more casual wardrobe of jeans and t-shirts.

Personality-wise, Rock is a kind and gentle person, but he is also capable of great violence. He’s very intelligent and resourceful, and he has a strong sense of loyalty.

Dutch

Are you in need of a mercenary who can get the job done no matter what? Then you need Dutch. He’s the boss of the Lagoon Company for a reason. Not only is he an excellent marksman, but he’s also very physically strong. He can handle himself in any situation and he always remains calm under pressure.

Plus, he has a great relationship with his right-hand woman Revy, so you know he can be trusted. If you’re looking for someone to get the job done, Dutch is your man.

Revy

Revy is an amazing character for so many reasons. First of all, she’s an incredible martial artist and gunfighter. She’s also tough, independent, and always ready to fight for what she believes in. Plus, she’s got a great sense of humor and is always up for a good time.

Benny

Benny is a level-headed individual and former soldier who now works as an information broker and gunrunner in the city of Roanapur. He is able to keep a cool head in even the most chaotic of situations and is an excellent marksman. Benny is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat and has a close relationship with the other members of the Black Lagoon.

Mr Chang

Chang is a former Chinese cop. He is extremely skilled with dual-wielding pistols, Beretta 76 and AMT Hardballer. He is a boss of a Thailand branch of the Sun Yee On Triad. Unlike most in his position, Chang is easily amused, lighthearted and easy going.

He hates hypocrisy and it’s been speculated that he left he police work because of the corruption in the higher ranks. He loves Roanapur greatly and often puts its safety above other peoples’ lives.

Roberta

Skilled, loyal, and fierce, Brazilian-born Roberta is more than just a maid to the Lovelace family. Roberta’s loyalty is born out of tragedy. She lost her family and home in a violent conflict. But she’s found a new family in the Lovelaces, and she’ll do anything to protect them.

Roberta is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, but it’s her fighting skills that set her apart. Her strength, speed, endurance and instincts have been honed to almost supernatural levels. At one point Rock even describes her as “a killer robot from the future”.

Shenhua

Shenhua is a Taiwanese national and an assassin. She is tall and slender, with long black hair. Shenhua is calm and collected, with a sharp tongue. She is an expert marksman and martial artist who takes great care of her personal appearance.

Balalaika

Balalaika is the tough and ruthless leader of the Russian mafia group “Hotel Moscow”.She was raised by her grandfather who was a general in the Red Army. She is both tough and compassionate.

This tall and imposing woman is not afraid to get her hands dirty, and she’s motivated by power. Whatever it takes to achieve her goals, Balalaika will do it. But despite her tough exterior, she does have a soft spot for her men.
