What Is Highschool DXD about?

Highschool DxD revolves around Issei, a perverted high school student who attends Kuoh Academy. He is killed by a Fallen Angel before being turned into a devil by Rias Gremory. Issei becomes a member of her family and joins her school’s club consisting of other supernatural beings.

The anime follows Issei’s adventures as a devil, particularly his relationships with various female characters. If you were in his position, would you have many girlfriends, or just one?

Rias

Rias, also known as the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess, is the heiress of the Gremory Clan. She is very kind and compassionate, particularly towards those beneath and close to her. She gets easily agitated when others insult her or her followers. While she is proud of her heritage, she prefers being her own person.

Rias has especially white skin and blue eyes. She is easily recognizable by her long, stunning crimson hair which she inherited from her father. She is quite tall at 172 cm (5 feet 8 inches) and weighs 58 kg (128 lbs). On top of her usual Kuoh Academy outfit, she wears glasses when in deep thought.

Akeno

Akeno is a descendant of the Himejima clan and Rias’s best friend. She has long black hair that is usually tied in a long ponytail. Her eyes are violet and she is always wearing the customary Kuoh Academy school uniform. During a battle, she wears a miko attire that consists of a white haori, a red hakama, and a pair of zori.

On the outside, she is an elegant and gentle woman. However, underneath it, she is highly sadistic and shows no remorse towards her enemies. She loathes Fallen Angels and empathizes with anyone who suffered under by their hand.

Xenovia

Xenovia is a member of the Occults Research Club and Rias’s second Knight. She has blue hair and dark yellow eyes. Her outfit changes depending on the situation. For example, her battle outfit is a Church battle suit. It consists of a black leotard, matching fingerless gloves and thigh-high boots.

At the start, she was a calm, quiet, and serious girl. Her cold attitude was sometimes borderline heartless, but she gets more loose as the anime progresses.

Kuroka

Kuroka is the firstborn daughter of Fujimari. She was one of the most wanted criminals before joining Team DxD. Furthermore, she is one of Issei’s fiancees. Do you think Kuroka is your ideal Highschool DxD girlfriend?

Her hair is long and black. Her bangs are split and she has gold eyes with cat-like pupils. She’s always wearing a black kimono, a yellow obi, and a headband. Her kimono is usually open at her shoulders revealing her large breasts.

Koneko

Koneko is the younger sister of Kuroka and Rias Gremory’s first rook. She is a petite girl with golden eyes and white hair. She is only 138 cm (4 feet 6 inches) tall making her one of the shortest characters in the anime.

Koneko is usually seen wearing a Kuoh Academy school uniform. She is withdrawn into herself and rarely shows any emotion. She has a cold and quiet personality, even when speaking. In comparison, her sister is outgoing and mischievous.
