Kuroo
Kuroo is tall, lean, and muscular. He has black, spiky hair and hazel-colored eyes that give him a sly facade. He is known as the “provocation expert” due to his cunning ability to incite his opponents. Yet, deep down, he values sportsmanship. His softer side is portrayed in his respect for his coach and his friendships with his teammates.
He’s highly observant on the court, always analyzing opponents’ moves for an effective counterattack. Though he portrays himself as cool and collected most of the time, he can be silly around friends. Moreover, he even considers himself older despite being just a year or two ahead of others.
Yaku
Yaku is the committed, no-nonsense libero of Nekoma High. He is rather short at 165 cm and has sandy blond hair. He is always brimming with confidence and a fighting spirit. These traits make him both feared and loved by his teammates. He occasionally throws a fit when others comment about his height. However, his dedication the the team is unwavering.
He is renowned for his formidable defense and takes great pride in being Nekoma’s libero. Off-court, Yaku’s relationship with Kuroo began bumpy due to a past rivalry but has since evolved into mutual respect bound by their shared goal of winning nationals.
Yamamoto
Yamamoto has an imposing appearance, defined by his blond mohawk and cat-like eyes. On top of that, his lean and muscular physique adds to his intimidating demeanor. However, this hot-headed ace player of the Nekoma team has a soft spot, he is rather timid around girls.
Although he can get easily riled up, Yamamoto demonstrates strong mental fortitude during crucial matches and knows when to regroup. In contrast, his academic pursuits aren’t one of his strengths.
Kenma
Kenma is an introverted yet highly skilled volleyball player. He has golden cat-like eyes and contrasting black and blond hair. He rarely shows intense emotion unless it is about his passion for video games. Instead, he has a quiet yet analytical nature. His reserved demeanor often makes him unapproachable, with few friends to speak of beyond Kuroo from elementary school.
Despite this outward apathy, he deeply values these friendships. In fact, he practices volleyball for their sake more than his own interest. In adulthood, he becomes a successful stock trader and CEO while maintaining a frugal lifestyle.
Teshiro
Teshiro is relatively small for a volleyball player. He has light-colored hair and thick eyebrows. He is usually calm and collected. That allows him to pay more attention to the court and perceive things others miss. For instance, he noticed a change in Kenma’s behavior during one of the games against Karasuno.
Being 1st year, he is not as experienced as his teammates. He struggles with receiving the ball. His strength is his ceiling serve. Lastly, his favorite food is grilled salted cod.
