Nifty

Niffty is a small cyclopean demon with white skin and a gigantic eye showcasing vibrant shades of pink and yellow. She is adorned with short pink hair highlighted in yellow, sharp teeth, and dimple-like dots at the corners of her mouth. Moreover, she encapsulates an intriguing charm within herself esoterically. 

Niftty dons a vintage red 1950s maid’s attire that includes a complementary neckerchief. She bursts with energy, spontaneity, and agility, but she gets easily distracted. An aversion to messiness defines her further. Demonstrating fire resistance and high agility are among her abilities. Charlie Morningstar is the Hellborn princess and founder of the Happy Hotel. She is an idealist who holds a firm belief in redemption for all demons. Compassionate, empathetic, and musically gifted, she’s made it her mission to end the yearly extermination of souls through self-betterment and redemption. 

Despite experiencing occasional naïveté and disheartenment when her heartfelt theatrical passion doesn’t convince others as she imagines, Charlie stands strong against mockery and adversity. She may seem sweet and gullible but she is no pushover. She is equally capable of verbally defending herself or engaging in physical fights. Her love for musical theater extends into her communication style via show tunes and ballads.

Vaggie

Vaggie is the pragmatic and cautious sinner demon. As the only employee prior to Niffty and Husk’s recruitment, her role evolved into that of a managerial figure. She strives to uphold Charlie’s noble vision of redemption within the rundown property they operate from, despite possible doubts about its feasibility. 

She has a quick temper, yet her loyalty to those she cares about is indomitable. Vaggie exhibits commendable versatility with her proficiency in hand-to-hand combat, weapon handling, bilingualism, and understanding of Hell’s hierarchies. Most notably, she is armed with throwing daggers and an angelic harpoon for self-defense against potential threats.

Angel Dust

Angel is a brash, sarcastic demon with a sharp wit that helps him deflect criticism and evade responsibility. He flips between being playful and destructive with crude humor. Styled to perfection, Angel exudes an immense level of confidence, enticing attention through his flirtatious demeanor. Though he puts up a cold exterior, pretending to look down on others, he harbors insecurities within himself that he hides to protect himself from perceived harm. 

He maintains a safe distance from emotional relationships although harboring deep care for his friends. Outstanding abilities like retractable arms, storm-sensing heightened sensitivity, and extreme athleticism complement his impressive bilingual proficiency and weapon-handling expertise.

Alastor

Alastor, dapper and charming, often conceals his darker proclivities behind a broad grin and old-fashioned radio announcer vocabulary. He unnervingly segues from affability to violence when others fail to align with his principles, stirring fear through his outwardly jovial demeanor. 

His morality is skewed, reflecting a sadistic pleasure in devouring lesser creatures and maintaining close relationships within Hell’s cannibal circle. Despite perceived arrogance and self-importance, Alastor is cautious amongst equally powerful beings. Strangely enough, he aids Charlie in running the Happy Hotel for his amusement and as an antidote to boredom rather than supporting her idealism.
